Welcome to Guiding Meals!

Hello, and welcome to Guiding Meals. We want to start by thanking you for subscribing to our newsletter and letting you know what to expect along our journey together. So, let's take a walk…. To our kitchens.

Our goal here at Guiding Meals is to take the hassle out of coming up with ideas on what to cook, and also share our knowledge and experience so cooking becomes less of a chore and more of a hobby. Our newsletter will save you time, reduce the struggles of shopping, and change kitchen confusions and frustration into joy and drive. We want to help you to love your kitchen and the meals you can make in it. We will provide you with simple, no faff, recipes that get straight to the point (no scrolling for 10 minutes just to see an ingredient list here), a shopping list, an equipment list, and realistic times for each week’s meals. With each week’s meals we will also provide a write up on equipment, how to shop, what to look for, why you may need something, why you probably don’t need something, and some essential kitchen items for our journey together.

To us, cooking is a passion, but not just because great food is great, but because of how cooking can bring us together. It can help us go to places we have not yet been to, and provide love and education to people in your life.

When we bring our loved ones into the kitchen with us the “chore” of cooking can start to fade away; especially if you already have the ingredients needed from a handy shopping list and a recipe ready to go with a simple click 😉. You can then bring your kids into the kitchen and create laughter and flavors abound. We will never be one of those “life story providing” recipe blogs, but we would also never trade our time and experiences in the kitchen for anything. Our chef has a chair at the bar in his kitchen that he has labeled the “Queen Chair”. His wife sits in while he cooks. They get to talk about all the things in their worlds while she is provided a glass of wine and small slices of cheese. All the while their doodle lays on her mat waiting for her slice of cheese too. Our developer and his wife often bring their young child into their kitchen to cook, and they even make cleanup inclusive and more like family time than a chore.

Being able to share, not only great food, with each other but also memories and time in such a hectic and busy world, all the while eating real, mostly healthy, food is exactly what we are striving to provide you. So, please join us for what we hope will be something truly special to you and your family.

Thank you
